How to Delete an Empty Proposal Link in Proposal Settings

Clear out a blank Proposal Link block that keeps showing up when you generate a proposal.

Written by Fred Pape

Proposal Links are the links you set up on the Proposal Settings page so they ride along with every proposal you send. If you end up with an empty Proposal Link — a blank, outlined box with no label or web address — it can keep popping up on the Generate Proposal screen, and you may find yourself clearing it out every single time. Here's how to remove it for good.

Delete an empty Proposal Link

  1. Go to Setup, then Proposal Settings.

  2. Find the empty Proposal Link — it shows up as an outlined box with no link or text in it.

  3. Hover your mouse over the far-right edge of that box — a trash can icon will appear.

  4. Click the trash can icon. The empty Proposal Link is removed and won't show up on the Generate Proposal screen anymore.

Repeat for each empty block if you have more than one.

Not what you're after? If you're instead trying to stop a customer from viewing a proposal you've already sent, that's a different task — see How to Revoke or Expire a Customer Proposal Link.
