What it is
The AI Estimating Assistant helps you build an estimate. You can chat with it, or you can walk the property and let it pull the job details from what you show and say. It then helps you adjust the estimate until it's right. It's included on every plan at no extra cost.
Who can use it
The AI assistant is currently available to users with the Administrator user role. If you don't see it, ask an Administrator on your account to check your role, or to build the estimate for you.
Web or mobile?
Web and mobile app: you can chat with the AI assistant to help build and adjust an estimate.
Mobile app only: you can record or upload a walk-through. These options don't appear on the web.
How to build an estimate with a walk-through (mobile app)
Tap Create Estimate.
Choose Video Walk-through.
Select the customer and property.
Choose how to add your walk-through:
Record Walk-through: records audio only. Talk through the job as you walk the property.
Record Video Walk-through: records video and audio. The video is saved as an attachment on the job, so you can look back at it later.
Upload Video Walk-through: use a video you've already taken.
Work with the AI assistant to fine-tune and adjust the estimate. Add or remove items, correct quantities, and change anything it got wrong.
What the assistant uses to price the job
It looks for your templates, production rates and labor rates. If you're missing any of them, it will help you create templates and production rates as you go. You don't need to set everything up first.
If you don't see the option
Check that your user role is Administrator.
For the walk-through options, check that you're using the mobile app, not the web.
If you still don't see it, log out, fully close the app, and log back in. Then contact us in the chat box and tell us which device you're on.
