Short answer: Yes — here's how
SynkedUP lets you create multiple tax rates and assign them at the work area level, so you can charge different rates to different customers depending on their location or tax status.
Step 1: Set up your tax rates
Go to Invoicing Settings and create all the tax rates you may need — for example, one per county or jurisdiction you work in.
Step 2: Assign a tax rate to a work area
When building an estimate, assign the appropriate tax rate to each work area. This gives you full control over what rate is applied to each job, even if you work across multiple jurisdictions.
A note on the tax rate in System Setup
The tax rate found in System Setup is separate — it represents the tax you pay as a contractor when purchasing materials, and is used in your job costing calculations. It is not the rate charged to your customers.
