Quick version: This isn't something SynkedUP changed. QuickBooks Online rolled out a setting — on some subscription levels — that automatically emails any invoice created by a connected app (like SynkedUP) as soon as it lands in QuickBooks. You turn it off inside QuickBooks, in your Sales settings, under the imported invoices option.
What's actually happening
When you create or send an invoice in SynkedUP, a copy is also recorded in QuickBooks Online for your accounting. Recently, QuickBooks started automatically emailing those imported invoices to your customer the moment they're created — without you clicking send.
It's a QuickBooks change, not a SynkedUP one. QuickBooks updated how it handles invoices created by third-party apps.
It only affects some QuickBooks subscription levels, so not everyone will see it.
The fix lives in QuickBooks, not in SynkedUP.
How to turn it off
Log in to QuickBooks Online.
Go to your Sales settings.
Look for the option about imported invoices (invoices created by a connected or third-party app).
Turn off the setting that automatically sends those imported invoices.
Save.
Once that's off, QuickBooks will stop auto-emailing the invoices that come over from SynkedUP, and you stay in control of when your customer hears from you.
Why this also matters for getting paid
When QuickBooks auto-emails the imported invoice, your customer can pay through that QuickBooks invoice. That means the payment gets collected on the QuickBooks side, and the job can still show as unpaid in SynkedUP. Turning this setting off keeps invoicing and payment where you intend them, so your SynkedUP and QuickBooks records stay in sync.
What you'll still see in QuickBooks (and that's fine)
When you invoice through SynkedUP, we also create a matching record in QuickBooks. That copy is there as an accounting record only — it's normal, and you don't need to send or collect on it from the QuickBooks side.
