How to Create an Invoice for a Project, Service Ticket or Maintenance Job from the Mobile App.

You can complete the Job Workflow in the Mobile App as well as the Web App, by sending off an invoice for the work that's been done. You can do this at the end of the day in the Clock Out Workflow, or by going to that Project / Ticket / Maintenance and creating a new Invoice. This tutorial will walk you through the steps.

Note: This article assumes your user account has the Invoicing permission enabled. If you find that you can't see certain buttons that are shown in this article, most likely you do not have these permissions and need an admin to do it for you. Here's how: Set up Invoicing Permissions


Step by Step during the Clock Out Workflow:

Step 1:

First of all, we'll cover how to do Invoicing while clocking out. When you go to Clock Out, follow the normal flow, hitting Clock Out, then Review.

Step 2:

Enter the items you used that day and hit Next.

Step 3:

Here there's a Create Invoice button. Click on it.

Step 4:

Turn on the toggle for the Workareas you want to include in the Invoice and set your other preferences like you normally do in the Web App - due date, electronic payment, etc.

Then hit Create Invoice.

This generates an Invoice that you can then open in QuickBooks if you want.

Otherwise, you can finish the clocking-out process by x-ing out of the QuickBooks popup and hitting Finish.


Step by Step from the Projects/Service/Maintenance Screen:

Step 1:

Go to Projects or Service or Maintenance in the Main Menu.

Then find your job and tap on it.

Step 2:

Click on the round plus button at the bottom of the screen. Then click on the document with a dollar icon. This will take you to the Invoicing screen.

Step 3:

Follow Step 4 from the previous set of instructions.
