Sales tax on proposals

Depending on laws in your area, sales tax is a big deal, and you wanted to ability to show estimated sales tax on a proposal. Well, we're listening 😎 and we delivered! πŸŽ‰πŸ™Œ

You can now show estimated sales tax on proposals!

*QuickBooks Online is the service that calculates the sales tax for us to show on the proposal, so you do need to have sales tax set up in your QuickBooks Online account. You have the opportunity to pick and choose if you want to show it on each proposal or you can set it as a default to always show in your "My Company" settings. We are very excited to bring this new feature to you and hope that it makes proposals much clearer. 🀩

QuickBooks Online invoice order

We had reports of invoices in SynkedUP were not matching invoices in QuickBooks Online. We found the error that caused this and fixed it. We were also able to find all the affected invoices and get them fixed as well. The invoices that were in QuickBooks Online were indeed correct, and it was only a display issue on the SynkedUP side.

Extra day on calendar

When using the man hours per day calculator option when scheduling a job, it would add an extra day to the project. For example a 24 man hour job at 8 man hours per day should be a 3 day project, but was showing on the calendar as 4 days. We have patched that up so it calculates correctly.

Save job prompt

On a few specific pages of the software, it was possible to leave a page without being prompted to save. We've addressed those areas to prevent you from leaving a page without being prompted to save first.

Mobile app clock in/ out speed

We've been doing extensive work in the core of the mobile app to increase its speed while clocking in and out. This updating and optimizing process is an iterative process, this round of updates got us some significant gains, but we're not done yet. We are continuing to optimize it further as we go.

Don't allow importing items with 100% custom margin

As the new year is getting underway and users started updating their pricing, we found that some folks were setting custom margins on their import at 100%. If are an Excel guru and play with math formulas. you know that if you set a 100% margin, you get a "divide by zero" error. The system will now not allow you to enter a 100% custom margin, preventing this error.

Reset password link not showing

During the reset password process, you get an email with a link to reset your password. When attempting to reset your password from the mobile app, that link was missing. This is patched up and you can now reset your password from the mobile app or web app.

Modified scrolling menus on touchscreen devices (ie iPads)

A touchscreen device would not let you scroll in the item catalog and in a few other scrolling menus. Now, for example, when using an iPad or any touchscreen device, you can drag items from the Item Catalog Browser to your workarea.

Updated error messaging for QuickBooks Online

We made some improvements on the error messaging related to QuickBooks Online. ie, an invoice creation fails, what caused it?
