🔹 1. Open the Settings Menu

  1. Tap the ☰ menu icon in the upper left corner of the app.

  2. Scroll down and tap “Settings.”

  3. Scroll all the way to the bottom to access time tracking options.


🔹 2. Manage Time Gaps Between Jobs

This setting controls how time is handled between jobs:

  • Option 1: “Automatically start next job when previous ends”

    • Automatically removes gaps.

    • Useful if your team moves quickly from one job to the next.

    • Ensures continuous billable time.

  • Option 2: “Leave gaps between jobs”

    • Keeps any time between jobs as unbillable.

    • Best if your crew often has breaks or travel time that shouldn’t be billed.

    • Gaps can be adjusted later if needed.

💡 Tip: If your schedule is unpredictable, use “Leave gaps” and edit as needed during time review.


🔹 3. Set a Default Unbillable Category

  • Choose the default category for unbillable time (e.g., Shop Time, Drive Time, or Office).

  • This will be applied automatically anytime you start unbillable time.

  • You can change the category manually anytime while clocked in.

💡 Tip: Set this if you’re usually in the same unbillable category to save taps each day.


🔹 4. Enable Clock-Out Reminders

  • Toggle on “Clock-Out Reminder”.

  • Set a time (e.g., 6:00 PM) when you typically finish your day.

  • If you're still clocked in at that time, SynkedUP will send a reminder to clock out.

💡 Tip: Set the reminder about 30 minutes after your usual end time, so you get notified only if you forget.


🧠 Why These Settings Matter:

  • Prevents accidental time loss or inflation.

  • Keeps your job costing data accurate.

  • Reduces daily admin time for crew leads and managers.
