My Foreman Can't Log In — Troubleshooting Guide

New foreman can't get into the app? Walk through these steps to get them sorted out.

The most common reason a foreman can't log in is that they haven't been set up correctly as both a User and a Crew Member. Both are required. Here's how to work through it.


Step 1: Make sure they're set up as a User

Go to Setup → Users and confirm the foreman has an account with an email address, password, and display name. If they're not there, click Create New User, fill in their details, give them Foreman access, and save.


Step 2: Make sure they're set up as a Crew Member — and linked

Being a User isn't enough on its own. Go to Setup → System Setup → Crew Members and confirm the foreman is listed there. If not, add them. Crucially, make sure their Crew Member record is linked to their User account — there's a field to connect the two. Save when done.


Step 3: Have them try logging in again

Once both are set up and linked, have the foreman log out of the app completely, close it fully, reopen it, and try again.


Getting an "email already in use" error?

This usually means the email was tied to an account that was previously deleted. Go to Main Menu → Recycle Bin → Users, search for that email, and click Restore User. Once restored, make sure they're also added as a Crew Member (Step 2) — restoring a User doesn't do that automatically.
