You can quickly access an item in the Item Catalog, without leaving your Estimate by hovering over the item name with your mouse, and then clicking on the magnifying glass

That will open up a new tab directly to that item in the Item Catalog, allowing you to make changes to that item if needed without having to leave your screen.

I know some of you have been leaving the estimate, going to the item catalog, searching for the item, making your change, and then coming back to your estimate.

This should save a lot of time :) Cheers!
