How to Unsubmit a Time Card to Correct a Mistake

If you find yourself in a situation where you realize there was a mistake on a Time Card after you had submitted it... read on. This video tutorial will walk you through the process of unsubmitting a Time Card, correcting the mistake, and resubmitting it.

Note:

This process will not work if the Time Cards have already been exported to QuickBooks for payroll or if the job has already been invoiced.


Step by Step:

Step 1:

Click on the Time button in the bottom taskbar to get to the Overview screen.

Step 2:

Click on the timesheet you want to edit.

Step 3:

Click on the three dots in the upper right corner of the screen.

Step 4:

Click Unsubmit Time Card and then Confirm.

Note:

This step only works if the Time Card has not been exported to QuickBooks for payroll and the associated job has not been invoiced.

Step 5:

Click on the time for the employee's time that you want to edit, and then hit the pencil icon on the blue bar that pops up.

Step 6:

Make the necessary changes and then hit Save Changes.

Step 7:

Now you're ready to resubmit the Time Cards. Click on the three dots on the upper right side of the screen again and then hit Submit Timecard.

This will walk you through the standard Clocking Out process, and then you're done!
