Upgrades and Enhancements

Payroll report

We wanted to improve the process for running payroll if you are not using QuickBooks for payroll. The current PDF report gave you everything you needed, but required a lot of scrolling and information gathering. In an effort to make this process easier, we have added two CSV download reports. Now you can enter the date range (pay period) and hit the new CSV download icon. That will download the two CSV reports. One has all the detailed information for that pay period and the other is a summary report that just lists the names and total hours. The current PDF report is staying as is. Hopefully this makes it much faster and easier to run payroll.

General Housekeeping

Job status not matching

We found a bug that was causing the status of a job displaying on the customer work page to not match the actual status of the job. This could cause some confusion when looking up a list of customer jobs. It was an easy fix and now everything lines up perfectly.

Entering notes on mobile app causing crash

We had a couple users reporting that their mobile app is crashing regularly. We were able to narrow it down to being cause when entering notes. This turned out to be a problem on he backend with a third party monitoring software that we use. That has now been fixed and there have been no further reports of crashing.

Job status change zap

Via the Zapier integration, you can trigger an event by job status changing. For example: you may want to email the sales person when the job is marked as complete. We had a report that the trigger was causing multiple emails to be sent. We did some digging into the Zapier integration and make some tweaks that seemed to have resolved the issue.

Proposal reply problems

Numerous users were telling us that their customers were getting bounce back emails when replying to a proposal. This was cause by no reply to address being selected. While user error played a minor roll in that at times, we found that some specific sequence of events could cause that to uncheck itself. We have cleaned that up and now the reply to address is defaulted to on and that email will not send without a valid reply to address.

Job selection for clocking in

When clocking in via the web app, there is a toggle with the list of jobs to clock into. That toggle is supposed to filter out or display completed jobs. We found that it was not acting as intended and completed jobs were showing as available to clock into. That has been fixed and now completed jobs do not show unless you wish them to.

As always, if you have any questions, please hit us up in the chat box. Always remember to refresh often so you are up to date with the most recent version.
