Upgrades and Enhancements

Estimated project list order

When viewing the estimate page, the list of jobs would seem to be in a random order. You could filter by date, but it would not preserve that setting going forward. So, each time you visited the page, you would have to filter by date. We have now upgraded that to always show the newest to oldest as the default.

Bigger changes coming

The team has been hard at work designing, prototyping, and building some very exciting changes. While these changes are primarily based on a need to upgrade maintenance jobs, they are foundational changes that will affect all jobs. We are very excited about these upgrades and can't wait to share them with you all. This is a large undertaking on the engineering side and that is where much of the teams focus has been.

General Housekeeping

Address not showing in maps

When a job gets sold, the scheduler assigned to that job, receives an email. We found that opening that email on a mobile device and clicking on the address, was not populating the map correctly. This turned out to be due to the way we were sending the address using latitude and longitude. We made some changes that should solve that issue. Keep in mind that if the address is not a Google Maps recognized address, you may still have issues.

Routes not maintaining optimization

A bug was discovered in the route planning feature. You would create the list of jobs on the route and then optimize it for ultimate efficiency. Unfortunately that optimized route was not maintaining when attempting to schedule. It was reverting back to the original list order. That was easily fixed and optimization will hold.

Invoicing glitches

As we have mentioned in previous release notes, we have been upgrading the invoicing experience and our interaction with QuickBooks. While we have been rolling out these changes, there have been some minor bumps along the road. We appreciate your patience and understanding while we work through and uncover them.

Customer proposal description not displaying in the mobile app

When creating a proposal, users often write up very detailed proposal descriptions for each workarea. These often contain links to the product catalogs, installation details, and other various information. It was discovered that all of that was not always populating in the mobile app. We uncovered that in certain situations some of the description was being stripped out unintentionally. That has been address and you should have a much more consistent connection between the web app and the mobile app.

As always, if you have any questions, please hit us up in the chat box. Always remember to refresh often so you are up to date with the most recent version.
