Upgrades & Enhancements

Save work area as a template

Many users have often asked can I take a work area and save it as a template. We are very excited to announce that this is now possible!! How many times have you created a work area for an estimate and thought to yourself, I do this work all the time, I should create this as a template? Previously, this would have meant exiting the estimates, going into templates, and rebuilding the same thing. Now with a click of a button, you can save that work already done as a template. The feature allows you to select which items you would like to include as well as default quantities if desired. We hope you find this very helpful and time saving.

General Housekeeping

Updated terms and conditions populating proposals

We found that if you created a proposal, then went and adjusted your default terms and conditions, it would not be reflected if you created a new proposal on that job. We uncovered that once a proposal was made against a job, the terms and conditions on the original proposal carried through. We have since changed that so that a proposal created at any time will always use the current default terms and conditions.

Consultation page displaying incorrect times

In our work to upgrade the code base, we switched over the consultations page. In doing so, the time zone connection was briefly broken. While the consultation and calendar events were correct, the times displayed on the list of consultations were not. After an easy fix, that all displays correctly.

Maintenance job jumping issue

Have you ever been in a maintenance job doing work on the details page? For example: editing a final price of a list of recurring tasks. Once you did that and hit save, the program would jump to the master task of that recurring task. This was annoying because you were working on the details page and now you are somewhere else. We cleaned that up so you won't jump around without wanting to.

Date picker on time screen

We noticed an issue on the time screen in the web app. If you had a small amount of time screens displaying and you opened the date picker, the calendar would hide out of view. This made it difficult and impossible to select an end date. This was an easy fix and no longer an issue.

Mobile app calendar not displaying

At the end of May a couple of users reported that the calendar in the mobile app was not displaying May 31st events unless you viewed June. We quickly realized this was affecting everyone and immediately got it fixed.

Security upgrades

We recently went through the process of being listed on the QuickBooks app store. In order for Intuit to allow that they do a comprehensive security audit of your software. No glaring and immediate safety concerns were recovered but did suggest some minor upgrades and adjustments. While you are not likely to see much of that rest assured that SynkedUP is even safer than it was before.

As always, if you have any questions, please hit us up in the chat box. Always remember to refresh often so you are up to date with the most recent version.
