Upgrades and Enhancements
Budget worksheet applied year
Since we have had budget worksheets, we have tried our best to institute a naming convention to know which worksheet was the most recent. While everyone has the best intentions, we noticed that before long you could have a number of worksheets and not know which one was "active". In an effort to make that more clear and set us up for some future development, we made some upgrades to the worksheets. We now display the date each worksheet was last edited. If the worksheet was applied to a budget year, that will be displayed and it essentially locks down that worksheet. Once a worksheet has been applied, you can no longer save changes to it. To make changes or edit; copy that worksheet, make your changes, and apply to the correct budget year. Our hope is that this is a much more clear representation of which worksheet is current and applied.
Add customer name to sold jobs report list
As you know, several months ago, we added a new report to allow you to see jobs sold within a period of time. We had a number of users ask if we could populate the table of jobs included with the customer name to make identification easier. We were happy to do that, so now when you expand the list of jobs included in the graph, you will now see the customer name.
General Housekeeping
Won/lost graph not correct
We found we had a bug because of some caching issues that were causing the won/lost pie chart to not be correct. This was an easy fix and that now displays correctly.
Proposals not in sync with final price
We discovered an issue where sometimes the final price of a proposal was not matching the final price of the job by .01 or .02. After some investigation, we found that some ways things were calculated in the background were rounding things slightly different. We have made some changes to get things in line and have everything matching up as expected.
Move location of pop-up
When editing a timesheet on the web app, if you needed to add a crew member, the popup to do so was covering the existing information. This made it a bit frustrating when trying to add "Bob" to the timesheet, but you couldn't see what times the rest of the crew was there. This caused you to close that window, remember the information, and re-open. In an effort to always reduce clicks where possible, we have moved that pop-up, so that you can now see the relevant information.
Address not showing in maps
When a job is sold, the scheduler receives an email notifying them to get that job scheduled. That email contains the customer information and address. Often times you are opening that email on your phone and clicking on the address to figure out when you want to schedule that job. We found that address was often not populating the map. After some digging, we uncovered the way we were communicating with Google Maps, was not always giving the desired outcome. We did some clean up in the code and now clicking on the address should now display correctly in Google Maps.
