General Housekeeping
Calendar bugs
In preparation for a major upgrade and overhaul for scheduling and routing, we had to upgrade some ways in which the code is handled. Unfortunately this caused something to break. We got them fixed up as quickly as they were identified. We appreciate your understanding for the momentary glitches.
Preserve order of plan for scheduling recurring work
When building a maintenance job, users will often be very intentional in the order of the work areas. They will typically order them in an order that reflects when they will occur during the season. This helps with presentation to the customer as well as how the company may think about things. However, when going to schedule the work, the system would reorder things. We have fixed that so that now when you go to schedule maintenance work, it reflects the order you have the work areas in the plan. We hope this is helpful and makes scheduling easier.
Ability to update future events
If you have a recuring event, that needs to be updated mid season, we did not have a way to easily do that. For example: John has a mowing stop at 2:00pm on Wednesdays. Lets say things changed and now Bob is going to do that mowing stop at 10:00am on Wednesday. Previously that had to be done to each individual event. Now, if you open the event when that change will occur, you have the option to update that event only or that event and all future events. This should make it much easier to adjust crew leads and or times mid season.
Canadian tax collection issue
As you know, tax is not collected on a down payment invoice. You have an option to include the down payment deduction and collect tax on that amount on any future invoice. We found that with Canadian tax codes, that was not occurring, as it should. We were able to find the problem and get it taken care of. Now, our Canadian users should be able to collect tax, as anticipated.
Property address correction when using Safari
When using Safari as your web browser the property address location shown was not matching the actual property address. No matter what property you were creating a job for, the map image was showing the same random location. We found the issue where Safari was not displaying the actual property address. This should be good now.
Upgrade and Enhancements
Rich text now available on internal notes on templates
Over the last several months, we have been giving you the ability to add rich text to your internal work area notes. The last area we needed to do this was in templates. You now have the ability, when creating a new template, to include rich text in your internal work area notes. They will transfer seamlessly into the job work area. So, now anywhere you create internal work area notes on the web app, you can utilize rich text.
