SynkedUP Success Checklist

In an effort to get users receiving value as quickly as possible, we have launched a checklist to help you get going. All new accounts will have the SynkedUP Success Checklist visible on the main page. This will walk new users through getting set up and utilizing the program as quickly as possible. Existing users also have the ability to turn it on to be used for potential training for new employees or just to make sure you are getting the most value out of the program. This can be turned on by going into your My Company settings and toggling it on. We are very excited to launch this, as it will eliminate the thought of "what should I be doing next".

Mobile app view issues

We found that the mobile app was causing some display issues. For example: stacked jobs not showing, current calendar day not displaying correctly, and some other frustrating display issues. We went in and did some cleanup, found some bad code, and updated some things. We feel as though we have this all sorted out, so make sure that you are on the most recent app version and please let us know if you see anything that doesn't look right.

Ghost estimates

A user pointed out that they had some estimates started without any information. What was happening was, if you created a job, but did not have a task or workarea, then attempted to save, you would get an error message stating that you could not save without a workarea or task. However it was actually saving a basic version of it. We have since removed the error message, allowing you to save a job without a task or workarea created yet. This eliminates the ghost estimates from cluttering your list.

Service ticket down payments

We found a bug with service tickets not creating an auto down payment. There was an issue on the backend with the final price not saving correctly, causing the invoice to fail. This has since been fixed and is operating correctly.

Template production rate character limit

A user was having issues saving templates. When we dug into it, we found that there was a character limit in the units field of productions rates. If you exceeded that limit the template would fail to save without explanation. We have greatly increased that character limit. So, this issue should not happen again.

Custom labor rate inconsistency

In maintenance and service tickets, you have the ability to use a custom labor rate per task. We found an inconsistency when you changed the custom labor rate in the task, it was also reflected in the custom labor rate dropdown. However, when actually clocking in and tracking time, it was defaulting back to the catalog item price and not the customized task price. The easy fix on this for now was to display the catalog price in the drop down. Actuals will not reflect the customized price. So, if you need a customized custom labor rate, you will need to make a new catalog labor item to reflect that.

Item work continues

We are still knee deep on reworking how items are handled in the backend. We do see a light at the end of the tunnel and are getting close to pushing these changes to production. While there will not be noticeable major changes to how you interact with the system, there will be some minor visual changes and tweaks. The bulk of this work is behind the scenes, allowing us to eliminate bugs and make future development much faster and easier.
