Improvements to the way the Not Invoiced filter works
One common piece of feedback we often received was that it was difficult to make sure every job needing to be invoiced was done so. This was especially common for maintenance jobs. We had the invoiced and uninvoiced filters, but they didn't totally provide the filtering of jobs that you would expect. So, now if you select the not invoiced toggle that should provide a list of jobs that show a billable amount greater than 0. We hope this makes monthly billings much easier, cleaner and faster. We would love your feedback on this and if it is making things easier for you.
Division filters on invoicing page
We found an issue on the invoicing page. The division filters were not operating as expected. Individual division toggles were not showing any results. If you used the show all division toggle, then jobs would appear. We were able to sort that out and now division toggles operate as expected.
PDF proposal not generating for some clients
This was a very strange one. We had a client who could not create a PDF proposal for some of their customers. Some proposals worked fine, while others would not generate at all. After a little digging, we found some backend code that was preventing certain proposals from generating. There was another silly character limitation that has been fixed.
Maintenance jobs showing different final prices
We found we had some maintenance jobs that were showing different final prices, depending on where you looked. After doing some investigative work, we found this was caused by some tasks not being included in bundles. We aren't sure if this was user error or system generated, but we were able to get everything aligned correctly. If you find any of your maintenance jobs with multiple final prices, this could be the reason why. Please reach out to us if this happens to you and we can help you get it all cleaned up.
Property address not showing for projects on mobile app
When looking at a project on the mobile app, it was discovered that the property address was not being displayed. It was only showing the primary address for that customer. This could certainly cause some confusion for crews. Service tickets and maintenance jobs were working as expected. We were able to get that fixed and projects show the appropriate property address.
Net profit on workarea not aligning with costing and analysis
We found that the net profit showing on a workarea was not matching the net profit showing on the costing and analysis page. This turned out to be caused by the recent items work. Some old code was causing the discrepancy. We quickly got that fixed so everything is in alignment now.
Added ability for companies to not allow foreman to see other foremen's timesheets
We've added further control over the foreman level user. If you go to your company page, you will see a new toggle. This toggle will give you control over your foremen's ability to see the other foremen's timesheets or not.
Operation click reduction
We are always on the lookout to reduce clicks when possible. One area we just did this was for workarea items. If you go to give an item a custom name or custom price, as soon as you click on it, you can start typing. Another spot is when you need to select a workarea, but there is only one workarea on that job, the system will automatically choose that workarea. We are always on the lookout, so if you see any areas where we can improve, please let us know.
Rich text formatting on proposals
We recently had an issue where rich text (bullets, italics, etc) would not display on a proposal. It was found that unselecting and reselecting a workarea in the proposal would bring the rich text back. We were able to get that fixed, so rich text is now preserved.
Display total price for unbillable items
As a result of the recent items work there was an unintended consequence on unbillable items. This was quickly noticed in flat rate pricing where labor items are automatically marked unbillable. In the past they would still display a total price. With the recent items work, anything marked as unbillable would display a total price of 0. While technically that is correct, it made it difficult to determine what to set that flat fee at. We made some changes and now anything that is marked unbillable will display a total cost with a strikethrough. So, it is now visible as to what you would charge, if it was not unbillable. We hope that makes things easier and is more clear.
