Upgrades and Enhancements

Easier log out action

In an effort to clean things up and improve security we tweaked how you log out of SynkedUP. Previously you would click on your name or avatar and then find the log out button there. Now you can simply hover over your name and log out right there or go to your account page. Its the little things that count!

Added ability to unassign a maintenance task on the calendar

It was pointed out by a user that once you assigned a maintenance task to a foreman you could not unassign it. You could only reassign it to another foreman. This made it frustrating at times to rearrange schedules as things change. You now can unassign the task until you know who to assign it to.

Calendar event view adjustments

On a recent webinar, the topic of maintenance scheduling was brought up. As maintenance tasks tend to be shorter in duration and many on one day, it was difficult to see what was what. The group agreed that the time was not needed as you could see that on the calendar itself and the client name should be the first thing to see. We did some rearranging in an effort to make things easier to read and discern. While we hope this is a welcome improvement we do hope to make further enhancements here in the future.

General Housekeeping

Screen jumping when adjusting quantities

Have you ever been building an estimate, and while entering an item quantity, used the up and down arrows? If so, you likely noticed that the screen would jump around depending on your screen size. While that was intentional to support the overall display quality it did make that particular action a bit of a carnival game. We did some work to try and maintain the overall view quality while also making that action more consistent.

Reply to email address not set on automated follow ups

We had been getting some reports of homeowners replying to a proposal email and getting a bounce back error email. At first we assumed it was because selecting the reply to email address was being forgotten or missed. To address that we made it default to the sales persons email and gives you the option to change it. However, we still received some reports of the same issue happening. We ultimately discovered that the automated follow ups that were being sent out were not reflecting the correct reply to address. That has now been fixed. While we apologize for that, the good news is that the automated follow ups are working as customers are responding to them!!!!

Revised terms and conditions in new proposals

We found we had a little issue around terms and conditions on proposals. If you had created a proposal, then changed your default terms and conditions, and created a new proposal on the same job, the terms and conditions from the original proposal were reflected not the revised default. We have tweaked that a bit so that when ever you create a new proposal it will reflect your current default terms and conditions.

General code updates

You have likely noticed some more general look and feel changes throughout the program. As we have mentioned over the last several weeks, we are in the middle of some code updates. While these changes do not fundamentally alter how you do things there are slight visual changes.

As always, if you have any questions, please hit us up in the chat box. Always remember to refresh often so you are up to date with the most recent version.
